Refund Policy
100X HOUSE operates as a growth and creative partnership, not a standard e-commerce business. This means refunds work differently than they would for a one-time product purchase. This policy explains how we generally approach cancellations, deposits and refunds. Specific terms for your engagement will always be set out in your written proposal or agreement — where those terms differ from this page, the written agreement applies.
Overview
Our fees reflect strategy, planning, team time and resources allocated to an engagement — much of which is committed before visible deliverables are produced. Because of this, refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis rather than issued automatically.
Monthly & Quarterly Retainers
Once a billing period has started and work has commenced, fees for that period are generally non-refundable. This reflects the strategy, planning and execution time already committed for that period. If you wish to end an ongoing retainer, see "Cancellations" below.
Deposits & Advance Payments
Where a project requires an upfront deposit or advance payment to begin, that amount covers work already planned, scheduled or initiated on your behalf (such as strategy development, resource allocation or early production) and is generally non-refundable once work has started.
Cancellations
Either party may choose to end an ongoing engagement. The required notice period, and how any partially-completed work is handled, will be specified in your written agreement. In the absence of a specific notice period in your agreement, we ask for at least 30 days' written notice so work in progress can be wrapped up responsibly.
One-Time Add-On Services
For one-time add-on services (such as a single video edit, landing page or creative asset), once work has begun on the specific deliverable, fees for that deliverable are generally non-refundable. If work has not yet begun, a cancellation request will be reviewed in good faith.
Exceptions
We consider refunds or credits at our discretion in situations such as:
- 100X HOUSE is unable to begin the agreed work within the agreed timeframe
- A duplicate or erroneous payment was made
- Circumstances specifically identified as refundable in your written agreement
How To Request A Refund
To raise a billing question or refund request, email us with your name, the engagement or invoice in question, and the reason for your request. We aim to review and respond to every request in good faith.
